Commemorating at the Adelaide River War Cemetery

The Premier's Anzac Spirit School Spirit Study Tour at the Adelaide River War Cemetery

Today we visited the Adelaide River War Cemetery to pay our respects to those that died during World War 2 during the bombing of Darwin.

In particular, to remember those we have researched and presented on the tour:

Margaret De Mestre, George Smith, Leonard Barton, Albert Schulz, Emily Young, Herbert Shepherd, Jennie Stasinowsky, Boyns Hedley Hocking, Hurtle Bald, Robert Simons, Francis Emms, Jack Dee, Eileen Mullen, Francis Neaylon, Floyd Pell, Phillip Latham, Robert Bevir, Albert Purdon, Frank Moore and HMAHS Manunda.

Bob conducted the ceremony and then all students placed a personal presentation on the graves and had a quiet moment of remembrance.

The following photographs from the commemoration experience tell the story
