SA Premier's Anzac Spirit School Prize

  Still waiting for Darwin Study Tour but it will happen!! Unfortunately, we needed to cancel the April trip because of COVID considerations. Whilst incredibly disappointing, the good news is that the trip has been re-scheduled for 1-11 October this year.  The itinerary has been completed and booked with only a few changes. The main reason for the changes is that we do not now have Anzac Day commitments in Darwin, and as a result we can spend more time adventuring in Kakadu and Arnhem Land. The new trip looks fantastic and we now have to wait another 6 month before the group finally has the trip to share and learn from.  Whilst it has been a long wait, the staff are determined that this will be a great trip for you all. We will probably meet as a group before October because in June a new group of Premier Anzac Spirit School Prize awardees will be announced and presented with their medallions and certificates - you will all be invited to that ceremony if it is held before...

Hi team It's Paula from the RSL here. I can't wait for our trip to Darwin next month - so close!   If you have time, it would be worthwhile checking out the Fringe show Defending the Arts. It ' s an exhibition by serving members of the Army, Navy and Airforce.   Getting ready to head-off to Darwin and surrounds on 16 Apri l The 2021 Premier's Anzac Spirit School Prize students will be travelling to Darwin and the Top End of the Northern Territory during April 2022.   The historical focus is learning about and commemoration of the Bombing of Darwin during World War 2.  As you will see from the itinerary below, the study tour also has a strong cultural and geographical focus as the group travels from Darwin to Kakadu, to Katherine and then onto Litchfield National Park.  The trip is booked and the itinerary is as follows: Sat, 16 April 2022 Depart Adelaide Airport to Darwin.   Those killed in the Bombing of Darwin in 1942. Researching and sharing The students participating in the 2022 study tour to the Northern Territory have been asked to research a person who died during the 1942 Bombing of Darwin.
